Tiffany sea glass candle holder, soldering with sea glass
These past few weeks I have spent every spare minute either sea glass hunting or working in my studio. I've been painting, working with glass and generally trying to make my hands go as fast as my brain, it never works I can't keep up with myself lol.
These photos show the making of a Tiffany style sea glass candle holder I finished yesterday.
If it's done well Tiffany work is laborious, there are many steps to follow both before you can solder and afterwards to ensure the finished work will last. I've been soldering now for over fifteen years and love the challenges created as I aim for the solder to be as much a part of the beauty as the glass. I spend way too long adding little solder beads, creating smooth channels and raised ridges, the end result is always worth it!
Just need to polish this up and I'll add it to my gallery of works for sale.
